About DJ Malone
DJ Malone grew up in northwest Austin, Texas in the 90’s, long before the city became a tech hub. His fascination with computers began in high school where he read books and taught himself software programming. When it became clear a career could be made in tech he entered the workforce at 19 years old and started building websites for local small businesses.
During his years as a web developer DJ was known to solve all issues related to tech and would often find himself managing large-scale databases, fixing email access for colleagues, building new ecommerce stores and creating iPhone apps.
When Google launched the Android mobile platform DJ’s interest in mobile app development increased and a career switch landed him at H-E-B Grocery as an Android Engineer on the Curbside Pickup app.
Today he manages a large Android-focused YouTube video channel, reads and writes about all things tech, and consults at his firm Malone Software Consulting. Outside of work DJ loves to bike, walk his dog Goose and is an advocate for justice.

Goose loves chasing squirrels, finding bugs and chasing squirrels again.
